Helen grew up in Quebec and learned French while attending French high school. She fell in love with Prince Edward Island when her family vacationed here. Helen completed a Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation Management in Nova Scotia. During her studies, she lived and studied French in France for one year. After living and teaching English in Osaka, Japan for two years, she returned to Prince Edward Island to start an English as a Second Language school. Helen oversees the recruiting of students at Study Abroad Canada. She is currently living with her husband and two girls in Osaka, Japan. In her free time, she loves travelling, cooking, reading, and meeting people
Chris graduated from McMaster University in 1973 with a degree in Developmental Psychology and Teacher Education College in 1975. He spent a further year at Trent University in 1980 studying Canadian History. He taught junior high school in Ontario until retirement in 2001. During his 26-year teaching career in junior high school, he taught English, History, Mathematics and Physical Education. Until recently, Chris and his wife Susan operated Malpeque Bed and Breakfast in Prince Edward Island as well as managing a family golf course in Huntsville, Ontario. Chris has travelled extensively in Canada and Europe, has three grown children, and has been having a great time teaching English with Study Abroad Canada since 2001. Chris and Susan now make their home in beautiful Stratford, Prince Edward Island.
Beth has an MA in English from the University of British Columbia and her ESL teacher's certificate from Vancouver Community College. She has taught ESL since the mid-90's. In Vancouver, she worked with university students and international students; in Montreal, she taught corporate clients. She moved to Charlottetown with her husband in 2000 and loves living on PEI. As SAC's TOEFL teacher, she enjoys the intricacies of English grammar. Beth is also involved in SAC's ESL teacher training program. When not in class, she writes poetry, practices yoga, and takes advantage of Prince Edward Island's beautiful beaches.
Administrative Assistant/Accounting Technician
Vi was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. She graduated from college with an Administrative Assistant Certificate and an Accounting Technician Diploma. She has worked in several offices as an office administrator or an accounting technician. She started working at Study Abroad Canada in the fall of 1999. She is pleased to help students with information before and after they come to Prince Edward Island. Vi likes to travel and in the summer, you will always find her enjoying the beautiful beaches of Prince Edward Island.
